Children's Privacy Policy

April 1, 2026

Easemble (“Easemble,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of children who use the Easemble Platform. This Children’s Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect Personal Information relating to children under the age of 13 (“children”) and is intended to comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).

This Children’s Privacy Policy supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict, this Children’s Privacy Policy controls with respect to children’s Personal Information.

Please read this Children’s Privacy Policy carefully before allowing your child to access or use the Platform to understand our policies and procedures regarding your child’s Personal Information and how we will treat it.

Capitalized terms used but not otherwise defined in this policy have the meaning given to them in our Terms of Service or our general Privacy Policy

Scope of This Policy

Easemble is not primarily directed to children. However, children may access and use the Platform in limited ways:

  • Without creating an account, such as when accessing Guides or other content made available by a school, teacher, or other authorized adult account holder; or
  • With an account, only after verifiable parental consent has been obtained.

This policy applies only to Personal Information collected from children under the age of 13 and does not apply to information collected from users who identify themselves as age 13 or older.

Updates

We reserve the right to modify this Children’s Privacy Policy at any time by posting an updated Children’s Privacy Policy on the Platform. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of the policy. If we make any material changes, we may provide you with a notice on the Platform and, at our sole discretion, email Parents of registered users about those changes. You are responsible for regularly reviewing this Children’s Privacy Policy, and your child’s continued use of the Platform after we make changes is deemed to be your acceptance of the updated Children’s Privacy Policy. If any modification is unacceptable to you, you shall not permit your child to use the Platform. If you have any questions about this Children’s Privacy Policy, or if you wish to exercise any of your rights under this Children’s Privacy Policy, you may contact us at support@easemble.com.

  1. Age Screening and Account Creation

We use an age-screening process during account registration. If a user indicates that they are under the age of 13, they are not permitted to create an account on their own. Instead, the user is prompted to involve a parent or legal guardian.

To create an account for a child under 13, a parent or legal guardian must:

  • Provide a valid email address; and
  • Confirm consent through a verification link sent to that email address.

An account will be created only after this verification step is completed. This process is designed to obtain verifiable parental consent as required by COPPA.

  1. Children’s Use of the Platform Without an Account

Children may access and use certain features of the Platform without creating an account, including through educational or classroom settings where a school, teacher, or other authorized adult controls access.

When children use the Platform without an account:

  • Easemble discourages and does not require children to submit Personal Information;
  • Core features may be accessed without entering Personal Information; and
  • Certain features may be unavailable without an account.

Easemble relies on schools, educators, and other authorized adult account holders to supervise children’s use of the Platform and to ensure that children do not submit Personal Information where it is not required.

  1. Information We Collect From Children

Children can access many parts of the Platform and its content and use many of its features without providing us with Personal Information. However, some content and features are available only to registered users or require us to collect certain information, including Personal Information, from them. In addition, we use certain technologies, such as cookies, to automatically collect information from our users (including children) when they visit or use the Platform. For more information about the types of cookies we use, how we use them, and your choices, please review our Cookie Policy: https://www.easemble.com/policies/cookie-policy

The Personal Information we collect from children depends on how the Platform is accessed.

Without an Account

When children use the Platform without an account, we may collect limited information automatically, such as:

  • Basic usage information (e.g., interaction with Guides);
  • Technical information such as device type, browser type, or IP address; and
  • Metadata related to access or interaction with the Platform.

We do not require children to provide names, email addresses, or other direct identifiers to use the Platform without an account.

With an Account (After Parental Consent)

If a parent or legal guardian provides consent and an account is created, we may collect Personal Information necessary to provide the Platform, such as:

  • Account credentials or identifiers;
  • Information submitted through the use of the Platform; and
  • Any other information described in our Privacy Policy that is applicable to account holders.

  1. How We Use Personal Information of Children

We use children’s Personal Information only for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the Platform and its features;
  • To create, display, and manage Guides and other content;
  • To maintain, secure, and support the Platform; and
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not use children’s Personal Information for:

  • Behavioral or targeted advertising;
  • Marketing or promotional purposes; or
  • Profiling or automated decision-making.

We do not sell children’s Personal Information.

  1. Schools, Teachers, and Educational Use

In educational settings, schools, teachers, and other educational institutions may provide children with access to the Platform without requiring them to create accounts. In these contexts, the school or educator is responsible for supervising children’s use of the Platform and for providing any required parental notices or obtaining any required consents. Easemble acts as a service provider, processing information on behalf of the school or educator, in compliance with COPPA and applicable data protection laws.

  1. Parental Rights

Parents and legal guardians have the right to:

  • Review the Personal Information we have collected from their child;
  • Request deletion of their child’s Personal Information;
  • Revoke consent and request that we stop collecting or using their child’s Personal Information; and
  • Request information about our data practices related to their child.

Please note that if you request deletion of your child’s Personal Information or revoke consent, we may be unable to continue providing the Platform or certain features of the Platform to your child.

If your child has an account created with parental consent, you may manage or request changes to your child’s information through the account management features made available to you, if applicable, or by contacting us as described below.

If your child uses the Platform without an account (for example, through a school or other authorized adult account), you may submit a request to review or delete your child’s Personal Information by contacting us. In some cases, we may direct you to the applicable school, educator, or account holder that controls access to the Platform.

To protect children’s privacy and security, we may require reasonable verification of your identity before fulfilling a request. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to respond to verified requests within 30 days.

  1. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect children’s Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
